About Little Island
Little Island, formerly known as Pier 55, is a 2.4-acre elevated park located in the Hudson River off of West 13th Street in NYC. The Park is constructed out of 132 tulip-shaped concrete pots that were pre-casted by The Fort Miller Company in upstate NY and installed on pilings in the river. Once completed, the landscape will feature a combination of over 100 species of trees and shrubs spread out across the rolling hills and open lawns. Additionally, the park will also offer performances of all kinds at its 700-seat amphitheater.
